I decided to review as many pho places in Seattle as I can. I will use the same system with each so they can be easily compared. Pho Dac Biet Broth (Salty style): 5/5 Meat portion: 5/5 Meat Freshness: 2/5 (Sometimes meatballs or flank will have a funky old taste and both had that) Noodles: 4/5 (yeah the noodles are pretty much all the same but sometimes they are over cooked and soft and sometimes they are the weird wide one which is no good. These ones were fine) Ambiance/cleanliness: 3/5 Stay tuned for more pho reviews.

Food wise, one of our favorite Vietnamese spots in Seattle though we haven't tried very many dishes. We usually get beef phở and bánh xèo (pork and shrimp crepe).

Wow. Finally, an excellent Viet shop in the Seattle area. I will be back, and don't feel the need to keep searching. Technically 4.25ish stars, but rounding to 5 because it hits all the spots well. - Grilled pork vermicelli: pork was flavorful, tender, slight char. Noodles were great, the veggies were cut well, the lettuce was nice pieces and not shredded. Pretty much the best I've found in the area. Tamarind Tree is about the same quality...but I would come here before there. Fresh rolls: rice wrapper was fresh, light and slightly gummy (in a good way). Perhaps a little heavy on the pork, but the noodles were excellent in it. The peanut sauce was warm and well made Cha Gio: the wrapper isn't quite right for an imperial roll...BUT! The filling was very good and the wrapper is not egg roll like, it is light and crispy. Tamarind Tree still wins here, but these are good in their own right The combo fried rice: was great. We then had the Fried Dough Cake: wow, that was yummy. Finally, the ice coffee was a very deep coffee flavor. Not over done on the chickory, nor overly condensed milk...a good, deep, balanced coffee. How I wish you weren't 45 minutes from home...but it's our new go to post Museum of Flight

Stopped by Thanh Thao for a late lunch on Sunday. The 3 of us ordered 1 pho, 2 bun combos, and a spring roll. Spring roll was good. Nothing out of the ordinary. The pho seemed to be packed with meat! So definitely a plus. For my bun combo, flavors were there. Meat was a bit on the drier/tough end, but still good. Food took awhile to come out, but was piping hot (so it was probably waiting on the meat). All in all, good spot for the area. Probably prefer Renton Bistro, but if I'm in the area, I will definitely want to try out their pho since it looked loaded with protein. Parking is easy to find in the lot. Staff is friendly.
